Pro Models RUNWAY 2008 is the result of the sustained effort of Pro Models to bring talented Fashion Designers & aspiring Models to the forefront, giving the opportunity to the fashion designers to show case there unbelievable creative fashion designs.



Pro Models RUNWAY 2008 had given opportunity for Maldivian Six Designers to exhibit there creative designs and there talent to public. Designers compete for the title of BEST DESIGNER AWARD 2008.
This time for the first time in Maldives, Pro Models had award the BEST HIAR & MAKE-UP AWARD. This was an open opportunity for all the salons of Maldives and as well as for the individual make-up artists and hair dressers. 

 

Designers took part in Pro Models Runway 2008;

Shampi , Ibu,  Roze , Rafa , Yashfa , Eanas & Rimi.
Aishath  Shamha Shfeeu (Shampi), she was the best designer of Pro Models Runway 2008.



Shamha won the BEST DESIGNER AWARD of Pro Models Runway 2008 and also she won three more dress category awards. Award was given to Shamha by Director of Veyla Cosmetics Mrs. Nadira

Ibrahim Ali (Ibu), he got the best dress award for Metal Wear & Wood Wear
Participated Salons & Make-up artists

Xee Salon  -  Sheri Salon  -  Cyza Salon  -  Veyla Salon  - Next Salon & Ibu as individual.

Vayla Salon won the BEST HAIR & MAKE-UP AWARD.


BEST HAIR & MAKE UP AWARDS received by Mrs. Nadira on behalf of Veyla Beauty Salon. The Award was given by Managing Director of Pro Models Mr. Mohamed Nizam Ahmed.

Dress categories; was divided in to five themes where designers illustrated there creativity by making the dresses with including not less than 10% of the theme material involved in the dresses.

1 - Plastic Wear -  sponsored by Male’ Optical

Best dress from Plastic wear category, Designed by Shamha, Hair & Make-up by Xee Salon, and dress was presented by Model Sara. Award for the best Plastic wear dress was given to Shamha by General Manager of Male’ Optical Mr. Shivaz Moosa.

2 - Wood Wear - sponsored by Muni Home Care


Best dress from Wood wear category, Designed by Ibu, Hair & Make-up by Ibu, and dress was presented by Model Shifana. Award for the best Wood wear dress was given to Ibu by Mr. Ahmed Shiham (Business Development Director of Muni Group).

 

3 - Metal Wear - sponsored by Pan Metal


Best dress from Metal wear category, Designed by Ibu, Hair & Make-up by Ibu, and dress was presented by Model Nihureer.

4 - Rubber Wear - sponsored by Part Exchange


Best dress from Rubber wear category, Designed by Shamha, Hair & Make-up by Xee Salon, and dress was presented by Model Sara. Award for the best Rubber wear dress was given to Shamha by Chairman of Part Exchange Mr. Mode.

5 - Paper Wear – sponsored by Paper World


Best dress from Paper wear Designed by Shamha, Hair & Make-up by Xee Salon, and dress was presented by Model Hawwa. Award for the best Paper wear dress was given to Shamha by Director of Paper World, Mrs. Aishath Ali.
